ECP and LFJ students and their families were treated like true movie stars at the Family Fun Night event on Friday evening at Lee F. Jackson. Upon arrival, students and their families walked the red carpet surrounded by a GCSD version of the Hollywood Walk of Fame featuring the names of ECP and LFJ administrators and faculty. The dress code was strictly PJs and stuffed animals, and BYOB - bring your own blanket.
The Movie Night event was organized by LFJ PTA members Gabriella Barahona and Jadera Ramirez-Garcia with support from the GCSD community and local businesses Apple Cinemas, McDonald’s, and BJ’s Wholesale Club with donations of popcorn, movie tickets, Happy Meals, and gift cards.
Woodlands Key Club members Ann Alphy, Isabella Cabezas, Vanessa Franklin, Khloe Fuentes, Joseph Gallagher, Leslie Gill, Keirra Iglehart, Samantha Jorge, and Nycole Tamala volunteered to help with check-in and concessions during the event.
